Robert is a technical lead overseeing grid modernization project. He enjoys exploring innovative approaches to solving challenges. His most recent experience has been in the interaction with utility management systems, and other databases to perform studies and analysis for different gird modernization initiatives. He has been part of several projects relating to Volt\/VAR optimization, scoping for capital spending, circuit model validation, data integrity analytics, grid analytics, and power system performance optimization<\/p>

Robert also has experience in the development of system protection write-up documents and the design of distribution and transmission substations ranging from 12KV to 500KV. His work involved upgrades to substations focused primarily on implementing protection and control standards of transmission systems, distribution systems, and substations. He created tailored protection and control schemes specific to each project. Robert has been involved with implementing LTC controls, SCADA, Volt\/Var control, circuit breaker replacement, and relay controls.<\/p>

Robert has developed a keen interest in the distribution system and different technologies that could be integrated in it throughout his career. His research focused on the operation and control of utility-scale microgrids in a distribution system which helped spark that interest. He has extensive experience in distribution protection, automation, and communication. As a result, he became familiar with distribution system critical assets such as reclosers, sectionalizes, capacitor banks, and smart switches. He was also involved in research regarding high impedance fault detection and distribution automation for automatic network reconfiguration. Overall, he developed a holistic understanding of the distribution system and its operation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
